Outdoor Graduate Development Training Programmes
Cumulus runs outdoor graduate training events over a number of days as well as singular graduate outdoor development days. These programs are used for a number of reasons to aid graduates' and interns' transition from academic life to existing within a work environment. Outdoor programs for graduates can be used as a development tool as well as an internal communications tool. Programs can be designed to help graduates better understand the ethos and expectations of the organisation they have recently joined. The outdoor graduate training programs are used as a tool to better understand the company culture, corporate identity and expected behaviours and competencies that staff members are expected to demonstrate.
These programs are used at the start of new careers and help to develop good working relationships between the in-take as well initiate the start of networking opportunities within the organisation. It also enables new members of staff to work with colleagues from various areas within an organisation, improving an understanding of other aspects of the business. The joint learning experience initiates long-running working relationships with a memorable and powerful corporate training event
In addition to developing improved understanding of their new employer and colleagues, graduate development programs facilitate an improvement in key soft skills such as communication, team working and practical creative thinking. Defined competencies in work related activities can also be introduced, giving graduates an opportunity to bench mark their current people skills with future expectations, initiating a desire and sense of direction for their continued development within the organisation.
