Urban Adventure Racing Events
Cumulus Outdoor Events organises adventure races in southern England during the autumn and winter. We also run urban adventure racing events in towns and cities in the south. City adventure racing is a growing sport involving a variety of challenges and skills such as navigation, cycling, running, climbing, abseiling, free-running and kayaking as well as a few other 'off the wall' challenges and tasks to be completed.
Key features of towns are used such as parks, buildings, beaches and promenades. Actual race component vary according to the venue and available resources. Extra 'special stages' are set up such as climbing walls, low ropes elements and zip wires towers (varies from race to race). Regular stages are used such as running, mountain biking / cycling, navigating, kayaking and free running. Participants have the opportunity to explore the town and possibly access areas you may not have been before.
Participants are able to access information online once they have booked as well as have specific info emailed to them, such as timetable, directions, kit list, staff details and contact numbers. After the race, photos & videos will be forwarded to the participants along with information on how to further pursue the activities involved at local clubs, or by booking further sessions and races with Cumulus. Competitors are also able to access a client blog location on our website to offer direct feedback to Cumulus and each other. Results will be forwarded to all the competitors as well as being accessible on our results page of the website.
