Families & Couples Adventure Experiences

Cumulus runs a range of outdoor adventure activities and bespoke outdoor experiences that are suitable for families and couples as well as groups and individuals. Families and couples can book online for our adventure activity sessions via the adventure experience section of the website or if you prefer, you can call or email the office to book or just enquire about those session or arrange your own private sessions.

As well as the adventure activities, you could also participate in our Geocaching events that we have set up on the Isle of Purbeck. More locations will be established during 2010. These have the benefit of being able to enjoy and explore the area with a sense of purpose, have guided notes and challenge on route, explore local tourist attractions and combine the exploration with the occasional adventure activity. Geocaching is great for a holiday or a series of weekends.

As with our sports and social clubs, we find that our most popular activities for families and couples tend to be:

• High ropes course sessions where your party work directly with members of the Cumulus instructing crew throughout your entire session
• Climbing and abseiling sessions on spectacular coastal cliffs (great for swimming from after the session or dolphin spotting over lunch)
• Canoeing and kayaking sessions including a trip around islands with various challenges on route (often rather wet challenges)
• Dorset Coasteering sessions along stunning stretches of cliffs and rock pools, a mixture of climbing, scrambling, swimming and jumping
• Orienteering sessions along the Purbeck hills, coast line and forests.
• Mountain biking along quiet forest tracks and open hillside routes with a guide from the Cumulus Crew
