Bespoke Outdoor Country Pursuits & Activities

As well as running sessions such as Dorset Coasteering, Cumulus run outdoor event sessions involving a range of country pursuits such as shooting, fishing, gliding, tracking and foraging. Bushcraft skills such as fire lighting and bivi-building are also available. You can book online today or contact the office by email or phone. Gift vouchers for sessions can also be purchased. During April and May 2010 we'll be further developing the range of services available in our country pursuits section, as well as our range of locations available.

Our country pursuit activities are a great way of having an enjoyable active day in the countryside as well as learning about the local area, flora and fauna. We can combine sessions run by the Cumulus Crew of instructors with local horticulturists to give your group a better insight to the local environments as well as some of the history of the areas.

Great country pursuit combinations could be:

• Gliding and golf: Spend the morning learning how to fly, take a break for a BBQ lunch or buffet and then enjoy a round of golf
• Horse riding and shooting: Go for a ride on the hearth, along a beach or through the forest, stop for lunch on the way and then try your hand at some clay or laser target shooting
• Learn some bushcraft survival skills in the morning rustle up a bit of lunch in the woods and then tour around the forest by bike, maybe finishing at a pub?

Sessions can be combined with other activities such as orienteering, climbing, raft building or kayaking to make a varied full day or weekend of outdoor experiences. To find out more about our bespoke outdoor events and experiences click here.
