Mission & Philosophy
Mission
Cumulus Outdoor Events strives to provide socially and environmentally considerate outdoor experiences to promote personal growth in its participants, staff and suppliers whilst exceeding all of its clients' expectations.
Business Philosophy
Cumulus is client and participant focused. Program design and delivery is a 2-way approach to ensure clients and participants needs and requirements are identified. Service delivery will match these requirements but will predominantly excel in all areas. Staff members and suppliers are incredibly valued: the key attitude to how we work is to develop, maintain and enhance working relationships with all stakeholders. The social and environmental impact of all services and programs are always considered. Cumulus strives to make a positive impact upon the locations and communities within which we operate and we actively encourage an enhanced appreciation of the countryside and cultures that participants operate within whilst on Cumulus programs.
Our employees, associates and freelancer staff members are continuously reminded on the importance of this to Cumulus. These considerations are built into all event designs, and reviewed at the end of each program. Feedback is often requested from our clients, stakeholders and local communities to ensure always working towards improving our service levels as well as our input into local environments.
Cumulus is a very open organisation and we are very much into developing and sharing information in order for the outdoor corporate events and outdoor management training sectors to grow and develop. In this way we can make a difference as to how experiential learning develops as well as how training and development in the UK can best improve and enhance other organisations.
Cumulus also has a straight forward and open approach as to the costs we have to pass onto our clients when we deliver our events. Our event proposals are very clear as to what and how we will deliver the events as well as how much the event costs, what our overheads are for running the event and our profit margins. For the staff social away-day events we run, we have an option for our clients to decide what our profit margins should be, based upon their perception of our performance.
