Health & Safety
Cumulus Outdoor Events' primary concerns whilst designing and delivering the practical outdoor corporate events are the health, safety and welfare of our clients, staff, suppliers and the general public. As a responsible event provider, Cumulus have standard risk assessments and operational procedures for all of its activities, challenges and locations. In addition to these standard assessments and procedures, Cumulus carries out a specific risk assessment during the research and design stages of the event production. These are then used to adjust the program content or the operational procedures to ensure all risks are reduced to an appropriate level. Copies of these assessments and procedures are made available to clients prior to each event.
Cumulus has a defined recruitment procedure to ensure all the staff and suppliers recruited are suitably qualified and experienced to lead the activities and events. We also ensure that our staff and suppliers are made aware of our procedures and policies, with the Event Manager also checking during the programs and events that the policies are being adhered to. Copies of our policies are available to clients on request.
During the design and research stages or prior to an event, adventure experience or adventure race, each participant is required to complete a medical questionnaire to ensure that Cumulus and our staff are fully aware of any medical conditions or history that may be affected by attending or participating on programs. This way we can make any necessary changes to the experience if required, or make suggestions or recommendations to the individuals concerned.
