About Cumulus

Cumulus Outdoor Events Ltd was set up in 2009 by John Blair and Russell Thompson.  Both have been working in the outdoor events industry for over 20 years and had been regularly working together since 1998. With a strong passion and reputation for providing extremely high quality outdoor event services to clients, John and Russell decided to combine forces and set up Cumulus, offering corporate outdoor events, outdoor training, teambuilding events, adventure experiences and adventure races.

John and Russell work alongside key associates who operate with the same philosophy and ethos as Cumulus. All are well qualified, highly skilled and charismatic staff members who work hard to ensure participants have the best outdoor experience possible.

Cumulus have all inclusive research and design stages to it's event and training programs. Clients and participants have the ability to contribute to the objective and outcome setting of programs as well as content, enabling a greater sense of ownership and commitment to events from the participants themselves. Cumulus is able to offer a selection of event solutions, all unique and designed specifically to meet clients’ criteria.

Cumulus work from a variety of venues and locations across the UK as well as abroad. Current key locations include Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, South Wales, North Wales, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Morocco and India. 

With a commitment to working in the outdoors, Cumulus is very conscious of protecting the environments, cultures and communities it works within. Event programs and training programs are designed with this in mind, ensuring that locations are cared for and communities benefit from the impact of any events that take place within their area.
